This inspiring evening begins with the New Year message by our Founder Maha Guru Srinivas Arka, followed by a talk and demonstration on the ‘Benefits of yoga’ by Dharshini Sanguhan. In addition to teaching yoga Dharshini works as a careers advisor at a Further Education College in Harrow. There will also be a vocal recital by Nirushanth Sivakumaran an Economics Student from Queen Mary, University of London, and we conclude the evening with peaceful Arka Dhyana (Intuitive Meditation).

The evening will consist of a talk on 'Diabetes- Life Style changes and our Cultural obligations' by Dr Mala Baheerathan MBBS - DPM (MRC Psych), consultant psychiatrist and honorary senior lecturer to South West London and St Georges Mental Health Trust. This will then be followed by a short vocal recital by Nishanth Sivarasan, a medical student from Imperial College London, and Crishanth Sivarasan,an Optometry Student from the City University London. Following this will be a Bharathanatya dance recital by Natya Kalajothi Kumari Kavitha Luxmi Thangarajah of Sakthi Fine Arts UK. She debuted her Arangetram on the 16th of July 2011 under the tutelage of Natya Kalamani Smt. Anusha Sajeev and Dr Tharsha Varathalingam whom she has been learning under for the past 20 years. Kavitha completed her LLB and LLM at the University of Hertfordshire. She is currently undertaking the Legal Practitioners Course and is a Legal Assistant at Ratna & Co. Solicitors in East Ham. The evening will then conclude with an inspirational Arka Dhyana demonstration, to build a harmonious relationship between the mind and inner consciousness of each member of the audience.

The first half of the evening will consist of a talk by Dr Raji Chandirassegarane, PHD in French Literature who will be speaking about ’Parenting the 21st Century child’. This talk will then be followed by a Bharathanatya Recital by Chidamparalaya, students of Smt. Pamani Chitranjan. The evening will then conclude with an inspirational Arka Dhyana demonstration, to build a harmonious relationship between the mind and inner consciousness of each member of the audience.

The evening consists of Bharathanatyam Recitals and a Piano Recital by Ananthi Ramachandran.

 

Ananthi is a BSc Graduate in Biological Sciences from the University of Leicester, and has also completed her Grade 8 in Piano and Flute. There will also a talk by Dr. Sankar Kumar Das MBBS FRCP London, FRCP Glasgow, FCCP USA is a senior lecturer at the University of London. His talk will be on the History Of Ayurvedic Science and its place in the modern world. We will then conclude with a demonstration of Arka Dhyana.

This talk will be followed by a vocal recital by Renowned Artist, Shri Manickam Yogeswaran, who will be accompanied by Jalatharan Sithamparanathan on the Violin, and Balamurugan Yogarajah on the Mirudanagam. The evening will then conclude with an inspirational Arka Dhyana demonstration, to build a harmonious relationship between the mind and inner consciousness of each member of the audience.

You are cordially invited to yet another inspiring evening of dance, education and Arka Dhyana (Intuitive Meditation). The evening will consist of a Bharathanatya Recital by Swarup Menon, a former disciple of Shri Prakash Yadagudde of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, London. His awards include Asianet Europe TV talent contest, Keli International Kala Mela competition, Switzerland; Keli Pravasimela, India and many more. Since then, he has been learning in the UK from Shri Santosh Menon, a former teacher of the Kalakshetra College of Fine arts, Chennai. This recital will be followed by an educational talk given by Mrs Savitri Ray M.Ed, specialised in child psychology and also an MA in Classical Indian music. The evening will conclude with an inspirational Arka Dhyana demonstration, to build a harmonious relationship between the mind and inner consciousness of each member of the audience.

On 17th June 2011, Arka Maha Ganapathy charity cordially invites you to an inspiring evening of intuitive meditation (Arka Dhyana), music and education.
The evening will consist of a Flute recital and talk by Mrs Brenda Josiah, a graduate from Trinity College London, and is currently teaching diplomas in Flute and Clarinet. She will be giving a talk about the techniques that are special to classical transverse flute playing and then will play some pieces from her classical repertoire.
She will then be followed by a Bharathanatya Recital by Mrs Vanathi Bosch; a GP by profession and a very experienced dancer too who has trained both in Srilanka and in the Uk of which the last 10 years has been under Mavin Khoo.
